A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
("CDBG") FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,476,329.59 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE AGENCIES/AND OR
DEPARTMENTS SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, INCLUDING
AMENDMENTS, RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, AS MAY BE
NECESSARY, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT
REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Backaround of Item:
Pursuant to Resolution No. R- , adopted November 21, 2019, the Miami City
Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
in the Economic Development for program year 2019-2020, which included an amount
of $1,476,329.59 to the Department of Housing and Community Development
("Department").
There is a need to re -allocate these funds to the agencies/and or departments, specified
in the Attachment "A" for economic development activities.
The City Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG funds in the amount of
$1,476,329.59 from the Department to the agencies/and or departments specified in
Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for Economic Development activities.

HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE AGENCIES AND
DEPARTMENTS SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED,
FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS,
ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL
FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH
FUNDS FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-0482 adopted November 21, 2019, the Miami
City Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
funds in the Economic Development category for program year 2019-2020, which included an
amount of $1,476,329.59 to the Department of Housing and Community Development
("Department"); and
WHEREAS, there is a need to re -allocate these funds to the agencies and departments
specified in the Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for Economic Development activities;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG funds
in the amount of $1,476,329.59 from the Department to the agencies and departments specified
in Exhibit 'A" attached and incorporated, for Economic Development activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of CDBG funds in the amount of $1,476,329.59 from the
Department to the agencies and departments specified in Exhibit "A," attached and
incorporated, for Economic Development activities is approved.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms
acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all Federal, State, and Local laws that regulate the
use of such funds for said purpose.
' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
