A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $98,960.00 FROM THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE AGENCIES
SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC
SERVICE ACTIVITIES; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS,
INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN
FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL
FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH
FUNDS FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-0343 adopted on September 12, 2019, the
City Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
funds in the Public Service category for program year 2019-2020, which included an amount of
$98,960.00 ("Funds") to the Department of Housing and Community Development
("Department"); and
WHEREAS, there is a need to allocate these Funds to the agencies specified in the
Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's Administration recommends the transfer of the Funds
from the Department to the agencies specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for
public service activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of the Funds from the Department to the agencies specified in
Exhibit 'A" attached and incorporated, for public service activities is authorized.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms
acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state, and local laws that regulate the use
of such funds for said purpose.
' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
