POVERTY INITIATIVE ("API") FUNDS AWARDED IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED

AWARDED; REALLOCATING EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS

POVERTY INITIATIVE ("API") FUNDS AWARDED IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00), PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION NO. R-18-0267 ADOPTED ON JUNE 28, 2018, AS SPECIFIED
HEREIN; RESCINDING IN ITS ENTIRETY RESOLUTION NO. R-18-0414 ADOPTED
ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2018, THEREBY DE -ALLOCATING API FUNDS IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY
AWARDED; REALLOCATING EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($8,500.00) TO THE MAYOR'S SHARE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI'S API FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission previously adopted the following Resolutions
which collectively awarded the below -listed organizations funds totaling an amount not to
exceed Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($8,500.00) from the Mayor's share of the City of
Miami's ("City") Anti -Poverty Initiative ("API"):

WHEREAS, the organizations have either not executed the required agreements, not
submitted the required agreements, or not submitted the requested documentation required to
receive the awarded funds; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission wishes to de -allocate the awarded funds and
reallocate the funds to the Mayor's share of the API funds for future allocations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The API funds previously awarded to the Tradisyon Lakou Lakay, Inc. in a
not to exceed amount of One Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) and to The Black
Archives, History and Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc. for the Jackson Hospital
Centennial Celebration in an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00),
pursuant to Resolution No. R-18-0267 adopted on June 28, 2018 are hereby de -allocated.
Section 3. Resolution No. R-18-0414 adopted on September 27, 2018 is hereby
rescinded in its entirety, de -allocating API funds in the total amount of Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000.00) that were previously awarded.
Section 4. API funds totaling Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($8,500.00) are
hereby reallocated to the Mayor's share of the API funds for future allocations.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'

' If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (1) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
