Background of Item: On May 1, 2019, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") announced the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for Program Year 2019-2020, thereby announcing, the amount of CDBG funds being recommended for disbursement to the City of Miami. Pursuant to Resolution No. 19-0138 adopted on April 11, 2019, the City Commission approved the allocation of 820,018.52 of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program income funds, which included an amount of $123,002.78 allocated to public services activities for program year 2019-2020. The City Administration recommends the allocation of Program Year 2019-2020 CDBG funds, in the amount of $5,389,694.00 and in the amount of $123,002.78 in public service funds from prior year program income, for a total amount of $5,512,696.78 to the activities/departments, specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, beginning October 1, 2019. WHEREAS, on May 1, 2019, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") announced the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for Program Year 2019-2020 and the amount of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds being recommended for disbursement to the City of Miami ("City"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No.19-0138 adopted on April 11, 2019, the City Commission approved the allocation of $820,018.52 of CDBG program income funds, which included an amount of $123,002.78 allocated to public services activities for Program Year 2019-2020; and WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the allocation of Program Year 2019- 2020 CDBG funds, in the amount of $5,389,694.00 and public service funds in the amount of $123,002.78, from previous year program income, for a total amount of $5,512,696.78, to the activities/departments specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, beginning October 1, 2019; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2019-2020 CDBG funds in the amount of $5,389,694.00 and public service funds in the amount of $123,002.78 from previous year program income, for a total amount of $5,512,696.78, to the activities/departments specified in Exhibit 'A" attached and incorporated, beginning October 1, 2019, is authorized.' ' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all documents, including extensions, amendments, and modification, all in forms acceptable to the City Attorney, as may be necessary to implement the allocation of said funds. Section 4.
