NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Rte Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday May
23, 2019 at 9:00 AM, to consider the award of a contract to the listed below
through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the District 1's share of the City of
Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. Assistance to the Elderly, Inc., a
Florida Not for Profit Corporation, for assisted living facilities to have emergency
generators, and to consider the City Manager's recommendations and
finding that competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous
regarding these issues:
• Assistance to the Elderly, Inc., - assist the organization in acquiring
a generator that would meet the State requirements for cooling
Residential Plaza in case of a power outage.
Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Dorian Gibson, Special
Projects Assistant, Office of Grants Administration, at (305) 416-1655.
This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code
of the City of Miami, Florida as amended (the "Code"). The recommendations

by reference herein and are available as with the regularly scheduled City
Commission meeting of May 23, 2019 at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan

The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thurs-
day May 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM, to consider the award of a contract to
the listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the District 1's
share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. Assistance
to the Elderly, Inc., a Florida Not for Profit Corporation, for assisted
living facilities to have emergency generators, and to consider the City
Manager's recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation
methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues:
• Assistance to the Elderly, Inc., — assist the organization in acquir-
ing a generator that would meet the State requirements for cooling
Residential Plaza in case of a power outage.
Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Dorian Gibson,
Special Projects Assistant, Office of Grants Administration, at (305)
416-1655.
This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the
Code of the City of Miami, Florida as amended (the "Code"). The rec-
ommendations and findings to be considered in this matter are set
forth in the proposed resolution and in Code Section 18-85 (A), which
are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein and are available
as with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of May 23,
2019 at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be pres-
ent or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to
any proposition before the City Commission in which the City Com-
mission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any

Notice is he,'ny given that the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida,
will consider the following ordinance on second and final reading on May
23, 2019 commencing at 9:00 A.M., in the City Commission Chambers located
at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133:
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTER
56, ARTICLE V/SECTION 56-113 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED ("CITY CODE"), TITLED "TAXATION/AD VALOREM
TAX EXEMPTION FOR ENTERPRISE ZONE BUSINESSES/ELIGIBILITY
REQUIREMENTS," BY AMENDING THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS
OF THE AD VALOREM TAX EXEMPTION PROGRAM, TO SET FORTH THE
CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH A BUSINESS SITED IN AN EXISTING
ENTERPRISE ZONE IS DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN GRANTED THE CITY OF
MIAMI'S CURRENTLY EXISTING AD VALOREM TAX EXEMPTION, FOR
THE SOLE PURPOSE OF QUALIFYING FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY'S
ENTERPRISE ZONE EXEMPTION FOR WATER AND SEWER CONNECTION
CHARGES; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Said proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the Office of
the City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133, Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.,
or ft//miamifl.igm2.com five days before the date of the Commission Meeting.
All interested persons are invited to appear at the meeting and may be
heard with respect to the proposed ordinances. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter
to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
