For your information, Florida Statute §101.657(e) enables municipalities to provide early voting in municipal elections that are not held in conjunction with county or state elections. A municipality may designate as many sites as necessary and shall conduct its activities providing that: • Early voting sites are limited to a main or branch office of the supervisor of elections, city hall, public library, fairground, civic center, courthouse, county commission building, stadium, convention center, government-owned senior center, or government-owned community center; and • The supervisor of elections shall designate each early voting site by no later than the 30th day prior to an election; and • All early voting sites shall allow any person in line at the closing of an early voting site to vote. The Office of the City Clerk, in coordination with the Miami -Dade Elections Department, has selected the following six (6) locations to utilize as early voting sites. Please be advised that all registered voters in the City of Miami that are eligible to vote in Districts 1, 2 and 4 will be able to vote at any of the early voting sites, as the voting machines, will print customized ballots on demand from the optical scan (paper ballot) s,, sstem. Early voting sites for the general election are proposed to be open for nine (9) days beginning on Saturday, October 26, 2019, and ending on Sunday, November 3, 2019. The proposed schedule for early voting for the general election includes the following dates and times: For your information, a run-off election, if required, will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The run-off election early voting schedule is proposed to begin on Friday, November 15, 2019, and end on Sunday, November 17, 2019. The proposed schedule for early voting for a run-off election includes the following dates and times: Friday NOV 15 Saturday NOV 16 Sunday NOV 17 7AM-7PM 8AM-4PM Saturday OCT 26 Sunday OCT 27 8AM-4PM 8AM-4PM Monday OCT 28 Tuesday OCT 29 Wednesday OCT 30 Thursday OCT 31 Friday NOV 1 Saturday NOV 2 Sunday NOV 3 7AM-7PM 7AM-7PM 7AM-7PM 7AM-7PM 7AM-7PM 8AM-4PM 8AM-4PM For your information, a run-off election, if required, will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The run-off election early voting schedule is proposed to begin on Friday, November 15, 2019, and end on Sunday, November 17, 2019. The proposed schedule for early voting for a run-off election includes the following dates and times: Friday NOV 15 Saturday NOV 16 Sunday NOV 17 7AM-7PM 8AM-4PM 8AM-4PM Please note that the early voting sites selected for a run-off election will depend upon the office(s) requiring a run-off election. With this in mind, the City Clerk will have the ability to reduce the number of early voting site(s) for a run-off election accordingly. For your information, it is estimated that each early voting site will cost $3,200 per site/per day.
