Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Miami. Florida,
will consider the following ordinances on second and final reading on
March 28, 2019 commencing at 9:00 A.M.; in the City Commission Chambers
located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133:
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS,
PROVIDING FOR THE BORROWING IN THE FORM OF A REVOLVING
I tNF OF CREDIT IN A TOTAL AGGR`GATE PFiN0WAL AMOUNT NOT Tv
EXCEED TEN MILLION DOLLARS ($10,000,000.00) (COLLECTIVELY,
"LINE OF CREDIT") FROM CAPITAL BANK TO FINANCE THE PROJECTS
DESCRIBED BELOW; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI TAX-EXEMPT PARKING SYSTEM LINE OF CREDIT NOTE, SERIES
2019A AND CITY OF MIAMI TAXABLE PARKING SYSTEM LINE OF CREDIT
NOTE, SERIES 2019B (COLLECTIVELY, "NOTES"); PAYABLE FROM
PARKING SYSTEM REVENUES OF THE CITY'S DEPARTMENT OF
OFF-STREET PARKING A/K/A MIAMI PARKING AUTHORITY ("MPA");
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE NOTES; AUTHORIZING THE
NEGOTIATION AND THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER, THE MPA
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, MPA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, AND ALL
OTHER NECESSARY CITY AND MPA OFFICIALS OF THE NOTES AND
ALL FINANCING DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE NOTES, ALL
IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY AND BOND COUNSEL;
AUTHORIZING FURTHER OFFICIAL ACTION IN CONNECTION WITH THE
DELIVERY OF THE NOTES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTER
2/ARTICLE II/SECTION 2-33 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TITLED "ADMINISTRATION/MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION/ORDER OF BUSINESS AND RULES OF PROCEDURE," TO
REQUIRE A MAJORITY VOTE TO SUSPEND THE "FIVE DAY RULE".AFTER
IT HAS BEEN INVOKED; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.
Said proposed ordinances may be inspected by the public at the Office of
the City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133, Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.,
or http-WrIniamifl.i m2.com five days before the date of the Commission Meeting.
All interested persons are invited to appear at the meeting and may be
heard with respect to the proposed ordinances. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter
to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based F.S. 286.0105).
