A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-72 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AUTHORIZING THE
ALLOCATION OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE MAYOR'S SHARE OF THE CITY'S ANTI-
POVERTY INITIATIVE ("API"), IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($500.00), TO LUMANA GLOBAL CORPORATION, A FLORIDA PROFIT
CORPORATION ("LUMANA"), IN SUPPORT OF LUMANA'S PARTICIPATION IN THE 11TH
ANNUAL DOWNTOWN MIAMI RIVERWALK FESTIVAL; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY, IN

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-
72 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED,
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE MAYOR'S
SHARE OF THE CITY'S ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE ("API"), IN A TOTAL AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), TO LUMANA GLOBAL
CORPORATION, A FLORIDA PROFIT CORPORATION ("LUMANA"), IN SUPPORT
OF LUMANA'S PARTICIPATION IN THE 11TH ANNUAL DOWNTOWN MIAMI
RIVERWALK FESTIVAL; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created the Anti -Poverty Initiative ("API") to
address poverty based on a strategy of focusing the provision of support towards the City's
residents achieving self-sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, Lumana Global Corporation, a Florida profit corporation ("Lumana"), is
seeking funding in support of Lumana's participation in the 11th Annual Downtown Miami
Riverwalk Festival ("Program"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-72 of the City's Code, as amended ("City Code"), the
City's Mayor ("Mayor") wishes to provide grant funds from the Mayor's share of the City's API in
an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) ("Funds") for the Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager is requesting authority from the City Commission to
negotiate and execute any and all documents necessary, in a form acceptable to the City
Attorney, for the allocation of said Funds for the Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 18-72 of the City Code, the City Manager is authorized to
allocate Funds from the Mayor's share of the City's API to Lumana in an amount not to exceed
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for the Program.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized' to execute any and all documents
necessary, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
