CT o6go1 F: 203.659.3002 kab org I am delighted to inform you that Keep Miami Beautiful has been chosen as a recipient of the Keep America Beautiful 9 -volt Battery Grant. Congratulations on your outstanding project! The award has been made possible through the generous donation made by Duracell. Selecting winners from the many entries we received was a difficult process because of the full range of high-quality opportunities represented by the proposals. Your application, however, was exceptional and KAB and Duracell are pleased to help support your community through providing 9 -volt batteries to give to residents to promote education around fire safety and the importance of changing batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as we approach Daylight Savings Time this fall. The total value of the 2018 battery donation that you requested is $127,328, this figure is based on retail value of each individual unit. The total amount is reflective of two pallets requested with each pallet containing 18,400 batteries. Please note that due to the high number of pallets being donated, the in-kind donation credit for the program is being made directly to KAB headquarters at 1010 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT 06901 per our contact at Duracell. Your eligibility to receive this grant was due in part to your good standing with KAB. We appreciate your commitment to maintaining this standard of excellence and hope you will continue to explore future grant opportunities made available because of your status within the affiliate network. Thank you for your efforts to promote fire safety and to the significant contribution you continue to make to your community. We look forward to hearing more about your project, how it's received in the community and the positive impact it has within the City of Miami. Sincerely, Jennifer Flatow Corporate Partnerships Director
