Hannon City Clerk Date: April 29, 2018 Subject: Waterfront Advisory Board References: Agenda for May 10, 2018 Enclosures: List of members The Miami Waterfront Advisory Board was created to review and evaluate issues related to the use and development of city -owned waterfront property and shall provide advice to the City Commission concerning those issues and only such other matters as are referred to it by the City Commission in regard to city or public land abutting water. Eleven (11) appointments are required as of this time: Mayor Francis Suarez has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Jose Fuentes, incumbent, whose term expired on July 9, 2016, has exceeded the number of allowed absences (6 in 2016), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance; furthermore, has served as a member since May 10, 2007, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5) vote of the Commission.' 2. William Kearney, incumbent, whose term expired on September 8, 2017, has exceeded the number of allowed absences (6 in 2017) and the number of allowed consecutive absences (3 in 2017), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance.2 Chair Keon Hardemon has two (2) nominations for seats currently:3 1. Vacant. (Charles Flowers' term ended on April 8, 2016) 2. Vacant. (Luis Esteban Garcia's term ended on April 8, 2016) • Vice Chair Ken Russell has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Charles Pruett, incumbent, whose term expired on July 12, 2013.4 2. Vacant. Cody Courbier, incumbent, whose term expired on June 9, 2017.6 2. Richard Schinners, incumbent, whose term expired on September 8, 2017.' • Commissioner Manolo Reyes has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. William W. Riley, Jr., incumbent, whose term expired on November 15, 2017, has exceeded the number of allowed absences (6 in 2017) and the number of allowed consecutive absences (5 in 2017), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance.', 9 2.
