As you know, Article II, Section 11.5.28 requires the CIP Nominating Committee to screen applications, interview potential candidates and submit such candidates to the city commission to fill vacancies. I commend every last one of those brave individuals for confronting those dangerous situations head on. I am also well aware of the unfortunate behaviors and mishaps the department has dealt with both in recent years and in its past history.
