organization listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the
Mayor's share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. Miami
Power House Church provides live-in restoration men's and women's homes
free of charge to anyone who is suffering from a drug and/or alcohol
addiction, and to consider the City Manager's recommendations and finding
that competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous
regarding these issues:
• Miami Power House Church — to provide meals and services for
individuals in the restoration homes.
Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to Malissa Trevino, Project
Manager for the Office of Community Investment, Office of the City Manager,

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, October 26,
2017 at 9:00 A.M., to consider the award of a contract to the non-profit
organization listed below through Anti -Poverty grant funds from the Mayor's
share of the City of Miami's Anti -Poverty Initiative Program. Josefa Perez
de Castano Kidney Foundation, Inc. provides social services to City of
Miami low-income elders who are on dialysis treatment, and to consider
the City Manager's recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation
methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues:
• Josefa Perez de Castano Kidney Foundation, Inc. - social services
and meals to low income patients on Dialysis treatment

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code
of the City of Miami, Florida as amended (the "Code"). The recommendations
and findings to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed
resolution and in Code Section 18-85 (A), which are deemed to be incorporated
by reference herein and are available as with the regularly scheduled City
Commission meeting of October 26, 2017 at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
PLEASE ALL TAKE NOTICE THAT a meeting of the City of Miami Commission
has been scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the City of
Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. A
private attorney-client session will be conducted under the parameters of
§286.011(8), F.S. The person chairing the City of Miami Commission
meeting will announce the commencement of an attorney-client session,
closed to the public, for purposes of discussing the pending litigation
in the matter of Flagstone Island Gardens, LLC and Flagstone Development
Corp. v. City of Miami, Case No. 17-13829 CA 44, pending in the Circuit
Court of the 11th Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, to
which the City is presently a party. The subject of the meeting will be
confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation
expenditures. This private meeting will begin at approximately 3:00
p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the Commissioners' schedules permit)
and conclude approximately one hour later. The session will be attended
by the members of the City Commission, which include Chairman
Keon Hardemon, Vice -Chairman Ken Russell, and Commissioners Wifredo
"Willy" Gort, Frank Carollo, and Francis X. Suarez; Gonzalo Dorta,
Esq.; Matias Dorta, Esq.; and Laura Besvinick, Esq. A certified court
reporter will be present to ensure that the session is fully transcribed
and the transcript will be made public upon the conclusion of the
above-cited, ongoing litigation. At the conclusion of the attorney-client
session, the regular Commission meeting will be reopened and the
person chairing the Commission meeting will announce the termination
of the attorney-client session.
