HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-17-0487City of Miami Legislation Resolution R-17-0487 File Number: 3043 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com Final Action Date: 10/12/2017 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MODIFY THE DESIGN AND SCOPE OF THE WORK AS CONTAINED IN THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT ("FIND") GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 17- 0139, ADOPTED MARCH 23,2017; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR THE SUBMISSION OF THE GRANT APPLICATION, THE EXECUTION OF GRANT OR DEED AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS, MODIFICATIONS, AND EXTENSIONS THERETO, AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018. WHEREAS, on March 23, 2017, the City of Miami ("City") authorized the City Manager to submit an application for reimbursement grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways Assistance Program pursuant to Resolution No. 17-0139; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to modify its design and scope of work as contained in the FIND grant application to the FIND Waterways Assistance Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to the Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to modify the design and scope of work as contained in the FIND grant application submitted pursuant to Resolution No. 17-0139, adopted March 23, 2017. Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized' to execute any and all necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the submission of the grant application, the execution of grant or deed agreements and amendments, modifications, and extensions thereto, and the acceptance of grant funds for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor .2 ' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. 2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
