A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF PROGRAM YEAR 2017-2018,
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS, IN THE
PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $2,663,045.70 IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CATEGORY, TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE
PROGRAM YEAR 2017-2018; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO IMPLEMENT THE ALLOCATIONS.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD")
has yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations
for Program Year 2017-2018, as such, the amount of Community Development Block Grant
("CDBG") Economic Development funds being recommended is a projection; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocation account may need to be adjusted proportionately
once HUD confirms the final CDBG formula allocation for Program Year 2017-2018; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Administration recommends the allocation of
Program Year 2017-2018 CDBG funds in the projected amount of $2,663,045.70, in the
Economic Development category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and
incorporated, for economic development activities, beginning October 1, 2017; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2017-2018 CDBG funds, in the projected
amount of $2,663,045.70 in the Economic Development category, to the agencies specified in
Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for economic development activities, is approved.
Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation
of CDBG funds provided by HUD for the 2017-2018 Program Year.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized' to execute any and all the necessary
documents, to implement acceptance of said funds.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.z
The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
