A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY STEPS TO DEVELOP A LIST
OF POTENTIAL PROJECTS RELATED TO A PROPOSED MULTIMODAL
IMPACT FEE, AND TO DEVELOP SUCH LIST THROUGH DIRECT
COOPERATION WITH THE PUBLIC AND CITY COMMISSION DISTRICT
OFFICES; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE SUCH
LIST TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR ITS REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION NO
LATER THAN JANUARY 2018.
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes that new growth and development must be
accompanied and supported by adequate multimodal transportation facilities in order to
maintain the level of transportation services necessary to improve the quality of life for the
citizens of the City of Miami ("City"); and
WHEREAS, the intent of multimodal impact fees ("Impact Fees") is to generate the
necessary funding to offset the increased volume of vehicular and pedestrian congestion
resulting from new construction and development; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is considering the implementation of such Impact Fees
to finance numerous multimodal transportation projects that will directly affect the public health,
safety, and welfare of the residents of the City; and
WHEREAS, a proposed project list consisting of multimodal transportation facilities is
needed to accurately assess the implementation of such Impact Fees and their short and long-
term effects on the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires that the City administration research, analyze,
and compose a list of potential projects that could be funded through Impact Fees, and present
its findings to the City Commission no later than January 2018;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is directed to take any and all necessary steps to develop
a list of potential projects related to the proposed Impact Fees, through direct cooperation with
both the public and City Commission District Offices.
Section 3. The City Manager is directed to provide such list to the City Commission for
its review and consideration no later than January 2018.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption and

' If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
