A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR ACCESS TO SOUTHWEST 14TH
STREET DIRECTLY EAST OF THE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY RUNNING FROM
SOUTHWEST 14TH STREET TO SOUTHWEST 15TH STREET, EAST OF
SOUTHWEST 27TH AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to temporarily restrict vehicular access to
Southwest 14th Street directly east of the north/south alley running from Southwest 14th Street
to Southwest 15th Street, east of Southwest 27th Avenue, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to enact this temporary access restriction
pending final approval from Miami -Dade County's Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Section 54-16 of the City Code allows, upon confirmation from Miami -Dade
County, a permanent vehicular access restriction to certain streets; and
WHEREAS, Section 54-16 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), allows for temporary vehicular access restriction to certain streets pending final review
and confirmation by Miami -Dade County; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enact this temporary access restriction to ensure the
health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City of Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The temporary restriction of vehicular access to Southwest 14th Street
directly east of the north/south alley running from Southwest 14th Street to Southwest 15th
Street, east of Southwest 27th Avenue, Miami, Florida, is hereby authorized.'
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2
' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
