The City of Miami Community & Economic Development Department will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at City Commission Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133, to provide the public an opportunity to comment on funding amendments affecting the City's annual Action Plan for US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) programs. The proposed amendment(s) and respective description(s) can be found at: www,miamigov.com/communitydevelopment. The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution, by the City Commission, related to the proposed amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Annual Action Plan. Certain item(s) may be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 and ends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Community & Economic Development Department office located at 444 SW 211 AVE, 2 Floor, Miami, FL 33930 (CED Address). In addition, the public is advised of the proposed new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below:` r i. Discuss and propose resolution authorizing the allocation of CDBG Program Income funds in the amount of $60,000 to Coral Way Plaza Condominium Association, Inc. for special economic development activities for job creation. 2. Discuss and propose resolution to accept the allocation of Section 8 Housing Program funds, in the projected amount of $2,303,000 for rental assistance and in the projected amount of $237,000 for program administration for a total projected amount of $2,580,000 to extend the current program year 2016-2017 from twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months annual contributions from HUD. t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days.
