Responsible for Payables and Receivables. • Responsible for monthly payments to participating doctors in the managed care program. 1994 — 1995 — Minority Business Coordinator - Super Bowl XXIX Host Committee ❖ Planned, designed and implemented a minority business program for the Super Bowl XXIX Host Committee for Miami -Dade, Broward and Palm Beach tri -county area. ❖ With the assistance of the Minority Business Development Committee, developed goals, objectives, policies and procedures for all aspects of the Minority Business Program. ❖ Directed both internal and external components of the minority business program. ❖ Developed a database of over 500 minority businesses from tri -county area of which more than 125 vendors received contracts totaling over 3.5 million dollars. •:+ Interviewed and assessed qualifications of prospective vendors before making recommendations to the National Football League (NFL), NFL contractors and sponsors. •:• Minority Business liaison between NFL and the community. s• With the assistance of minority business director for the NFL, designed and implemented two new NFL programs: New Product Licensing Program and Joint -Venture Merchandising Program, which are still being used by the NFL. ❖ Assisted Arizona and New Orleans in the design and development of their NFL Minority Business programs in 1995. 1992 - 1994 - Executive Director Scholarship Program — Greater Miami Convention Visitor Bureau ❖ Implemented scholarship program for minority students in Hospitality Management. • Developed policy and criteria according to the Board of Director's objectives. :• Identified students committed to the hospitality industry.. :• Awarded scholarships based on scholastic achievements, community service and residency requirements. Placed students, after graduation, in upwardly mobile positions in the hospitality industry. • Placed students in mid -management positions at local hotels, one in top managerial position at the Sports and Exhibition Authority and another at top four-star hotel on Miami Beach. ❖ Provided monthly reports to the Board of Directors. 1989 - 1992 - Rainbow Preparatory School —Teacher/Special Assistant to Headmistress ❖ Responsible for the day -to day operations of Pre -K through 61h grade. ❖ Interviewed all perspective students, parents, teachers, and support staff. ❖ Made recommendations to headmistress as it related to staff hiring and changes in policy and procedures. ❖ Kept appraised of all state and local regulations, as it pertained to the operations of the facility.
