A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT, PURSUANT TO A MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
("COUNTY") DEED, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, THE CONVEYANCE
FROM THE COUNTY TO THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY"), AT NO COST, OF CERTAIN
VACANT LAND, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-
FOUR (6,534) SQUARE FEET, LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF NORTHEAST
2ND AVENUE AND NORTHEAST 62ND STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE ERECTION
OF A PUBLIC ART EXHIBIT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
INITIATIVE; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, IN
ORDER TO EFFECTUATE SAID CONVEYANCE.

CONVEYANCE FROM THE COUNTY TO THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY"), AT NO
COST, OF CERTAIN VACANT LAND, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY SIX
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR (6,534) SQUARE FEET, LOCATED AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF NORTHEAST 2ND AVENUE AND NORTHEAST
62ND STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE ERECTION OF A PUBLIC ART EXHIBIT,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S ART IN PUBLIC PLACES INITIATIVE;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY,
IN ORDER TO EFFECTUATE SAID CONVEYANCE.
WHEREAS, Miami -Dade County ("County") is the owner of certain vacant land,
containing approximately six thousand five hundred thirty-four (6,534) square feet, located at the
southeast corner of Northeast 2nd Avenue and Northeast 62nd Street, Miami, Florida
("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") has requested the conveyance of the Property for
the purpose of erecting a public art exhibit, in accordance with the City's Art in Public Places
Initiative; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to County Resolution No. 899-16, adopted on October 5, 2016, the
County declared the Property surplus and conveyed the Property to the City subject to City
Commission approval of the conveyance; and
WHEREAS, the Property will be conveyed by County Deed, in substantially the attached
form, to the City pursuant to Section 125.38, Florida Statutes, for no monetary consideration
and for use in connection with construction of a public art exhibit; and
WHEREAS, the City's intended use of the Property will promote community interest and
the welfare of its residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to accept, pursuant to a County Deed, in
substantially the attached form, the conveyance, from the County to the City, at no cost, of the
Property, for the erection of a public art exhibit, in accordance with the City's Art In Public
Places Initiative.

' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
