Background of Item: The Department of Community and Economic Development receives various types of repayments from loans provided to developers and homeowners in the past. Such funds, referred to as program income, are required to be used for eligible program activities. Between July 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2016 the Department of Community and Economic Development has collected an amount of $510,618.55 in CDBG program income. Pursuant to CDBG regulations 24 CFR Part 570.504, program income must be used for eligible CDBG activities. The City Administration recommends the allocation of the total program income from CDBG funds generated from July 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2016 in the amount of $510,618.55 to the activities specified in Attachment "A". The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The allocation of CDBG program income from July 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016, in the amount of $510,618.55, to the categories specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, is authorized.' Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to execute any and all documents to complete the transaction for the specified amounts, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. Section 4.
