IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AN INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALLTHE NECESSARY DOCUMENT(S), IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).
Background of Item:
The Department of Community and Economic Development receives various types of
repayments from loans provided to developers and homeowners in the past. Such
funds, referred to as program income, are required to be used for eligible program
activities.
Between July 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2016 the Department of Community and
Economic Development has collected an amount of $510,618.55 in CDBG program
income.
Pursuant to CDBG regulations 24 CFR Part 570.504, program income must be used for
eligible CDBG activities.
The City Administration recommends the allocation of the total program income from
CDBG funds generated from July 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2016 in the amount of
$510,618.55 to the activities specified in Attachment "A".

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ALLOCATION OF PROGRAM INCOME FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS GENERATED FROM JULY 1, 2016 TO NOVEMBER 30,
2016, IN THE AMOUNT OF $510,618.55, TO THE CATEGORIES SPECIFIED IN
ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO
COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION FOR THE SPECIFIED AMOUNTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).
WHEREAS, the Department of Community and Economic Development ("Department")
receives various types of repayments from loans provided to developers and homeowners,
referred to as program income that are required to be used for eligible program activities; and
WHEREAS, from July 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016, the Department collected
$510,618.55 in Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program income; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to CDBG regulations 24 CFR Part 570.504, program income must
be used for eligible CDBG activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG program
income generated from July 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016, in the total amount of $510,618.55,
to the activities specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, which are eligible CDBG
activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG program income from July 1, 2016 to November 30,
2016, in the amount of $510,618.55, to the categories specified in Attachment "A", attached and
incorporated, is authorized.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to execute any and all documents to
complete the transaction for the specified amounts, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
