We, Adis C. Fernandez, 86, and Adis M. Vila, 63, both retirees own and live at 2550 SW 14 Street, Miami, FL 33145 and have
continuously owned this property since 1979. It is a single family home surrounded by single family homes.
We and our neighbors OPPOSE the rezoning of two parcels facing SW 14 and 15 streets and 25/26 Avenue from single family to
LOW DENSITY RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL for the properties located at 2610 SW 14 Street and 2611 SW 15 Street.
The rezoning will alter the character of the neighborhood and negatively impact the many senior citizens who have called these
two blocks home for many years. In our case, my elderly Mother has lived here continuously since 1979. The unfortunate part is
that most of the residents are elderly and ill and unable to attend the hearing on Thursday, October 27 at 2 pm.
One of our neighbors also opposed to the rezoning will attend in person and bring my elderly Mother. I am out of town
delivering a lecture at a university and unsure that I will be back in Miami in time dor the hearing. However, through this email
and phone calls to my City and County Commission Representatives and the Mayor, I have expressed our opposition, and
reiterate our opposition in the strongest possible terms.
Remedy sought: denial of the rezoning for anything other than present zoning of single family homes. If denial of the rezoning
cannot be accomplished at Thursday's hearing, we request a delay so that we and our elderly and ill neighbors can seek legal
representation and pursue options to ensure the parcels are not rezoned. Please advise if there is other action I can take via
phone or email where I am presently via email at adisvila@bellsouth.net or 954-494-6429. Thank you.

We, Adis C. Fernandez, 86, and Adis M. Vila, 63, both retirees own and live at 2550 SW 14 Street, Miami, FL 33145 and have
continuously owned this property since 1979. It is a single family home surrounded by single family homes.
We and our neighbors OPPOSE the rezoning of two parcels facing SW 14 and 15 streets and 25/26 Avenue from single family to
LOW DENSITY RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL for the properties located at 2610 SW 14 Street and 2611 SW 15 Street.
The rezoning will alter the character of the neighborhood and negatively impact the many senior citizens who have called these
two blocks home for many years. In our case, my elderly Mother has lived here continuously since 1979. The unfortunate part is
that most of the residents are elderly and ill and unable to attend the hearing on Thursday, October 27 at 2 pm.
One of our neighbors also opposed to the rezoning will attend in person and bring my elderly Mother. I am out of town
delivering a lecture at a university and unsure that I will be back in Miami in time for the hearing. However, through this email
and phone calls to my City and County Commission Representatives and the Mayor, I have expressed our opposition, and
reiterate our opposition in the strongest possible terms.
Remedy sought: denial of the rezoning for anything other than present zoning of single family homes. If denial of the rezoning
cannot be accomplished at Thursday's hearing, we request a delay so that we and our elderly and ill neighbors can seek legal
representation and pursue options to ensure the parcels are not rezoned. Please advise if there is other action I can take via
