Background of Item: Through budgetary appropriation, on September 20th, 2016, the City of Miami approved a contribution from General Funds to the Department of Community and Economic Development in the total amount of $306,000 from Aids to Government Agencies. Citrus Health Network, Inc. is currently the agency responsible for administering the Rapid Re -housing & Homelessness Prevention Program for City of Miami and Miami Dade County. Citrus Health Network, Inc. is the only agency with the expertise and capacity to administer the Emergency Housing Relocation program. ("Citrus") is currently the agency responsible for administering the Rapid Re -housing & Homelessness Prevention Program for the City and Miami -Dade County; and WHEREAS, Citrus is an agency with the expertise and capacity to administer the Program; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends allocating said funds to Citrus for the administration of the Program, as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, and approval of the Program parameters, as specified in Attachment "B", attached and incorporated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. By a four-fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, the allocation of funds in the amount of $306,000.00, as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the Department's Program, is approved and confirmed, and the Program parameters, as specified in Attachment "B", attached and incorporated, are approved. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
