Purpose of Item:
A resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachment(s), by a four-fifths (4/5ths)
affirmative vote, approving and confirming the allocation of funds in the amount of
$306,000 as specified in the Attachment "A", attached and incorporated for Emergency
Housing Relocation Program; with funds allocated from aids to government agencies
funds, account no. 00001.980000.881000.0.0; approving program parameters.
Background of Item:
Through budgetary appropriation, on September 20th, 2016, the City of Miami approved
a contribution from General Funds to the Department of Community and Economic
Development in the total amount of $306,000 from Aids to Government Agencies.
Citrus Health Network, Inc. is currently the agency responsible for administering the
Rapid Re -housing & Homelessness Prevention Program for City of Miami and Miami
Dade County.
Citrus Health Network, Inc. is the only agency with the expertise and capacity to
administer the Emergency Housing Relocation program.
The City Administration recommends allocating said funds to Citrus Health Network,
Inc. for the administration of the Emergency Housing Relocation Program as specified
in Attachment "A" and approval of the program parameters as specified in Attachment
"B„

FOUR-FIFTHS (4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE
ALLOCATION OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $306,000.00, AS SPECIFIED IN
ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EMERGENCY HOUSING
RELOCATION PROGRAM; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM AIDS TO GOVERNMENT
AGENCIES FUNDS, ACCOUNT NO. 00001.980000.881000.0.0; APPROVING
PROGRAM PARAMETERS AS SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "B", ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY,
FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).
WHEREAS, through budgetary appropriation, on September 20, 2016, the City of Miami

Program; and

approval of the Program parameters, as specified in Attachment "B", attached and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. By a four-fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, the allocation of funds in the amount
of $306,000.00, as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the Department's
Program, is approved and confirmed, and the Program parameters, as specified in Attachment
"B", attached and incorporated, are approved.
Section 3. Funds are to be allocated from Aids to Government Agencies Funds,
Account No. 00001.980000.881000.0.0.

form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose(s).
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2

' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
