A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 62-521(6) OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, WAIVING THE TEMPORARY
EVENT LIMITATION OF TWO (2) EVENTS PER YEAR PER PROPERTY, IN ORDER TO
ALLOW NR MAXMIAMI LLC TO HOST VARIOUS ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT RELATED
EVENTS AT 90 NORTHEAST 17 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA FROM JANUARY 1, 2017 TO
JANUARY 1, 2019.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 62-
521(13) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, WAIVING
THE TEMPORARY EVENT LIMITATION OF TWO (2) EVENTS PER YEAR PER
PROPERTY, IN ORDER TO ALLOW NR MAXMIAMI LLC TO HOST VARIOUS ARTS
AND ENTERTAINMENT RELATED EVENTS AT 90 NORTHEAST 17 STREET, MIAMI,
FLORIDA FROM JANUARY 1, 2017 TO JANUARY 1, 2019.
WHEREAS, NR MAXMIAMI LLC ("Applicant") wishes to host various temporary arts and
entertainment related events at 90 Northeast 17 Street, Miami, Florida from January 1, 2017
through January 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended ("City Code"), temporary events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year
per property, for no longer than two (2) weeks each; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 65-521(b) of the City Code, the number and time
limitations may be waived upon affirmative vote by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, arts and entertainment related events at the above location, for an extended
period of time, would be beneficial to the City of Miami's residents and local businesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b) of the City Code, the number and time
limitations of no more than two (2) temporary events per year per property for arts and
entertainment related events at 90 Northeast 17 Street, Miami, Florida, beginning January 1,
2017 through January 1, 2019, are hereby waived for said period.
Section 3. The Applicant is still required to apply for, obtain, and pay for the required
permits applicable to each temporary event.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effectively immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'
' If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
