ltp: CC -5 - Allocation of grant funds in the sum of $100,000 Pram District 5 Anti -Poverty
Initiative to Dynamic Community Development Corporation (CDC)
The City of Miami ("City") created the Anti -Poverty Initiative to address poverty and focus on providing support to
its residents.
Dynamic Community Development Corporation (the organization) is a community-based non-profit that provides
business and technical assistance to local businesses, facade improvement, and small business micro -loans. The
organization will utilize the funds obtained. from District 5, Anti -Poverty Initiative, to fund their Anti -Poverty
Hoiise Painting Initiative. The House Painting Initiative will assist seniors who qualify in the district to paint their
homes.
As they are familiar -with the needs of the community and requirements imposed by the City, it would be
advantageous to the City to expedite the allocation and waive procurement requirements at this time. Providing
these funds to the organization will allow more youth to obtain these services immediately, with no added time for
the procurement process, which could take over 30-40 day's.
