A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
ADMINISTRATION, IN CONSULTATION WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMERCIAL LOAN
COMMITTEE AND THE OVERSIGHT BOARD THAT WILL BE CREATED IN THE FUTURE TO
OVERSEE THE MIAMI FOREVER BOND, TO REVIEW RADICAL PARTNERS, LLC'S "100
GREAT IDEAS" HOUSING AFFORDABILITY REPORT AND SUBMIT ITS FINDINGS AND
ANY POLICY PROPOSALS CONTAINED IN THE REPORT THAT CAN BE PRACTICALLY
IMPLEMENTED IN THE CITY OF MIAMI TO THE CITY COMMISSION.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
ADMINISTRATION, IN CONSULTATION WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMERCIAL
LOAN COMMITTEE AND THE OVERSIGHT BOARD THAT WILL BE CREATED IN
THE FUTURE TO OVERSEE THE MIAMI FOREVER BOND, TO REVIEW RADICAL
PARTNERS, LLC'S "100 GREAT IDEAS" HOUSING AFFORDABILITY REPORT AND
SUBMIT ITS FINDINGS AND ANY POLICY PROPOSALS CONTAINED IN THE
REPORT THAT CAN BE PRACTICALLY IMPLEMENTED IN THE CITY OF MIAMI TO
THE CITY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission is concerned about the affordable housing crisis
that is impacting the City of Miami ("City"); and
WHEREAS, Radical Partners, LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company ("Radical
Partners"), is a social -impact accelerator whose mission is to grow social -impact ventures and
their leaders; and
WHEREAS, the "100 Great Ideas" campaign is an online community brainstorm,
facilitated through Radical Partners' "100 Great Ideas" Facebook Group, in which the
community comes together to generate ideas, dialogue, and to learn about a pressing
community issue; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2017, Radical Partners launched the "100 Great Ideas"
campaign focused on housing affordability in South Florida in order to brainstorm potential
solutions; and
WHEREAS, over the course of the five-day campaign, the "100 Great Ideas" Facebook
Group generated over 300 ideas and 1,527 comments from participants; and
WHEREAS, the campaign ended on November 17, 2017 and a report memorializing the
feedback generated from the campaign is being formalized; and
WHEREAS, the final report will contain strategies and policy solutions that could be
implemented by the public and private sectors, including the City; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to adopt feasible policy recommendations and strategies to
preserve existing affordable housing and to create new affordable housing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Administration, in consultation with the Housing and Commercial
Loan Committee and the future oversight board that will be created to oversee the Miami
Forever Bond, is directed to review Radical Partners' "100 Great Ideas" housing affordability
report and submit its findings and any policy proposals contained in the report that can be
practicably implemented in the City to the City Commission.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'

1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
