Subject: LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE MIAMI VETERANS VILLAGE
1. We are extremely delighted to see the Miami Veterans Village project move one step
closer to reality. This project represents a commitment from this community to provide
the necessary services so desperately needed by our returning veterans. Specifically,
the affordable housing, medical services and elderly care components are essential to
ensuring that our veterans continue to move forward in the reintegration process.
2. What is happening in this country to these veterans that served to protect this country
is a terrible tragedy. When you hear of the lack of response, care and funding from our
politicians at all governmental levels with respect to helping these men and women,
who deserve our gratitude and support in their time of need, this project stands out as a
step in the right direction. Let's not forget about these brave Americans and give them
the help that they need and deserve. Please accept our full support for this project and
anything you can do to see that this much needed facility becomes a reality is greatly
appreciated.

Subj: LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE MIAMI VETERANS VILLAGE
VetserV would like to express its fall support for the Miami Veterans Village project. This historic step by the
City of Miami will be an example to the rest of the country and pave the way for others to follow. VettserV
helps provide homecare and assisted living care to war veterans and their surviving spouses 65 years of age and
older, so any project of this magnitude is an exceptional endeavor in our world. As we all know, we have a
shortage of affordable housing, access to healthcare as well as elderly care. These challenges are
multigenerational, and the City of Miami is poised to lead- the way with this project.
Please except our full endorsement of this project- We look forward to helping the war veteran component to
this project in any way we can.
Sincerely,
Thomas C. Gregory Sr.

Dear Mayor Regalado & Mr. Gort,
I am contacting you today as the Director of Veterans Services at the New York Film Academy College of Visual &
Performing Arts (NYFA). NYFA, founded in 1992, is the largest independent film and acting school in the world,
offering innovative curriculum, award-winning instructors, and the highest quality professional equipment,
classrooms, and studios at our campuses in New York City, Los Angeles, and South Beach, Fla.
NYFA opened the College's facility in South Beach last September, which offers degree programs and workshops in
filmmaking, acting, and photography, among other professional disciplines. NYFA recently partnered with the City of
Miami's Office of Film & Television in presenting the documentary film, B_evond Glory, written and performed by the
award-winning stage and screen star, Stephen Lang. The College was excited to work with the City of Miami Mayor's
Office, learn more about the issues facing Miami veterans, and to bring this collaborative effort to support the local
veteran community.
New York Film Academy is extremely delighted to see the Miami Veterans Village project move one step closer to
reality. This project represents a commitment from this community to provide the necessary services so desperately
needed by our returning veterans. Specifically, the affordable housing, medical services and elderly care components

Subj: LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE MIAMI VETERANS VILLAGE
On behalf of MJM Associates, I am pleased to provide this letter of support for the proposed Miami Veterans
Village. It has not been easy for Mr. Fuller and his colleagues to reach this point. So often our government
claims heartfelt support for our thousands of veterans, but the actual development of services to meet their
needs suffers delays and denials as it wanders through the endless political process. Fortunately, Mr. Fuller
has patience and does not take "no" for answer, and he is finally on the threshold of creating something that
will truly help our many veterans of south Florida so desperately in need.
The integrated service design of the Village is trend setting. It combines residential, healthcare, social and
senior services for our veterans in ways that will set the City of Miami apart for most of the country and
establish it as a service leader in this field.
MJM Associates has been asked to assist in the design and operation of the senior services component and we
are pleased to lend our expertise to this project. Many veterans living in Florida have difficulty obtaining
senior housing and therapeutic services. Like our aging population in general, many suffer from Alzheimer's
disease and related disorders of memory and cognition, but their needs are often further complicated by the
after-effects of the stress they suffered in service. We will bring to the Miami Veterans Village a state-of-the-
art Special Needs Assisted Living program, and we are happy to have this opportunity.
We urge your full support for this important project.
Sincerely,
Marti V Ham urg, Ph.D.
