A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO SECTION
18-82(A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED,
CLASSIFYING ONE (1) FORD E350 ONE TON ECONOLINE VAN, MODEL YEAR
2004, VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 1 FBSS31 L84HB48518, AS CATEGORY
"A" SURPLUS STOCK, AND DONATING SAID VEHICLE TO ATTACHABLE
INCORPORATED, A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, UPON THE
EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Department of General Services Administration ("GSA")
decommissioned one (1) Ford E350 one ton Econoline van, model year 2004, vehicle identification
number 1 FBSS31 L84HB48518 ("Vehicle"); and
WHEREAS, the City's Chief Procurement Officer has declared the Vehicle as Category "A"
surplus stock; and
WHEREAS, Section 18-82(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), entitled "Disposal of Surplus City -Owned Personal Property", provides that surplus property
declared as Category "A" surplus stock shall be available for disposition as the City's contribution or
the City's commitment in support of a particular public purpose, which may include community, civic, or
social service programs as may be authorized by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, not-for-profit organizations which provide a public purpose shall be offered first
consideration as recipients for the disposition of Category "A" surplus stock; and
WHEREAS, Attachable Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which enriches our
community and strengthens our youth by empowering our community with the means of providing
resources made available to our community; and
WHEREAS, Attachable incorporated serves as a mechanism for improving the lives of our
youth facing challenges within the juvenile justice system, local economy and educational system; and
WHEREAS, the donated Vehicle is to be used to assist Attachable Incorporated in transporting
youth as a component of Its programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the City Code, one (1) Ford E350 one ton
Econoline van, model year 2004, vehicle identification number 1 FBSS31 L84HB48518, is classified as
Category "A" surplus stock.

Section 3. The Vehicle is donated to Attachable Incorporated upon the execution of the
appropriate release documents.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor. (1)

Footnotes:
(1) if the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by City Commission.
