A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI SEA LEVEL RISE COMMITTEE
("COMMITTEE"); FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO STUDY HOW
AVAILABLE RESOURCES AND STAFF CAN BE PROVIDED IN ORDER TO
ENHANCE THE WORK OF THE COMMITTEE AND REPORT IN SIXTY (60) DAYS
TO THE CITY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Sea Level Rise Committee ("Committee") made a presentation
before the City Commission on May 26, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission accepts the recommendations of the Committee, directs the City
Manager to study how available resources and staff could be provided to the Committee to enhance its
work and report his findings to City Commission within sixty (60) days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby accepts the recommendations of the Committee.
Section 3. The City Commission further directs the City Manager to study how available resources
and staff can be provided to the Committee to enhance its work and report his findings to the City
Commission within sixty (60) days.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. (1)

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
