Subject: Resolution accepting grant funding for the Miamarina at Bayside Pump out replacement.
Purpose of Item:
A resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, accepting a grant from the State of
Florida Department of Environmental Protection - Clean Vessel Act ("Grant") in the amount not to
exceed $42,893.25 for Miamarina Pump out Replacement construction project ("Project");
authorizing the City Manager to execute the award agreement, in substantially the attached form, for
said purpose.
Background Information:
The City of Miami operates the 145 slip Miamarina at Bayside ("Facility"). The facility's existing
vessel waste pump out service is old, in poor condition, and in need of replacement. The projected
cost of this work is estimated at $57,191.00 and the grant requires a match in the form of cash or third
party in-kind in the amount of $14,297.75. The City has allocated $14,297.75 toward this project from
40-133032513. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has awarded the City a grant in
the amount of $42,893.25 to complete the funding requirement.
