A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY') AND THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT
"A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES; EXTENDING THE CONTRACT END DATE FROM
MARCH 31, 2016.TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2016, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Nos. 15-0141 and 15-0142, adopted on March 26, 2015, the
City Commission authorized the allocation of Program Year 2015-2016 Community Development Block
Grant ("CDBG") funds for economic development and public service activities respectively; and
WHEREAS, due to delays in commencing of the CDBG contract, an extension is needed to allow
the agencies to complete the contracts; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration requests an extension to the CDBG contract end date from
March 31, 2016 to September 30, 2016;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The extension of time for the Program Year 2015-2016 CDBG contract between the City
and the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for economic development
and public service activities, extending the contract end date from March 31, 2016 to September 30,
2016, is approved.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute all necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, with said agencies, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor {2}.

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
