FROM AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $200,000.00 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 12, 2017, THEREBY INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT CAPACITYAMOUNT BY $150,000.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT'S GENERAL FUNDS, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-77 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, the City of Miami ("City") issued and awarded Invitation for Bid ("IFB") 365320 authorizing Jurney & Associates, Inc. to administer and evaluate pre-employment polygraph tests in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 for two (2) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods; and WHEREAS, the estimated usage of the original contract was based on historical data; and WHEREAS, due to recent efforts to significantly increase the number of qualified sworn Police Officers, the need for pre-employment polygraph examinations has increased dramatically; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. An increase to the authorized expenditure limits for the provision of pre-employment polygraph examinations by Jurney & Associates, Inc. from an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 to an amount not to exceed $200,000.00 through September 12, 2017, thereby increasing the total contract capacity amount by $150,000.00, is authorized, with funds allocated from the Police Department's general funds, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 3.
