HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationFile Number: 16-00215 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com Final fiction Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016 CITY-WIDE POVERTY INITIATIVE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") AND THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES; EXTENDING THE CONTRACT END DATE FROM MARCH 31, 2016 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2016, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITYATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Nos. 15-0186 and 15-0256, adopted on April 23, 2015 and June 11, 2015 respectively, the City Commission authorized the allocation of Program Year 2015-2016 City-wide Poverty Initiative funds for public service activities; and WHEREAS, due to delays in the commencing of the City-wide Poverty Initiative contract, an extension is needed to allow the agencies to complete the contracts; and WHEREAS, the City Administration requests an extension to the City-wide Poverty Initiative contract end date from March 31, 2016 to September 30, 2016; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2, The extension of time for the Program Year 2015-2016 City-wide Poverty Initiative contract between the City of Miami and the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for public service activities, extending the contract end date from March 31, 2016 to September 30, 2016, is approved. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1 } to execute all necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with said agencies, for said purpose. Section 4. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
