Dira 11111117 30 Chief - City Man; Page 1 of I AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information; Pursuant to Resolution No. R-16-0035, adopted January 28, 2016, the Miami City Commission approved CDBG Program Year categories, allocating the amount of $2,699,621.20 for Economic Development category, On February 16, 2016, HUD posted the City's CDBG allocation which result in a reduction of $36,575.00 in the economic development category as approved pursuant to Resolution No, R-15- 0035. To ensure that no agency's allocation is reduced, Department of Community and Economic Development recommends the transfer of additional $36,575.00 from prior year program income to the 2016-2017 economic development category. The City Administration recommends the allocation of Program Year 2016-2017 CDBG funds, from HUD entitlement grants fund in the amount of $2,663,046 and the amount of $36,575 from prior year program income, for the total amount of $2,699,621 in the economic development category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for economic development activities in the program year 2016-2017.
