HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislation`. t .3500 CityCif iami city Han Pan American 11My , rytt.��k,�t .it 3MC'R " Drive Miami, FL 33133 1i FAd=k` Legislation vvww.miamigov,com Resolution File lumber: 15-01649 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED FOR INVITATION FOR BID 498331 WITH MONICA MANUFACTURING CORP, D/B/AALL UNIFORM WEAR, THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR GROUPS 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, AND 17, AND GLOBAL TRADING, INC,, THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR GROUPS 1, 2, 6, 7, 14, AND 18, FOR THE PROVISION OF FIRE -RESCUE UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF FIRE -RESCUE ON AN AS NEEDED CONTRACTUAL BASIS, FOR AN INITIAL PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS OF THE USER DEPARTMENT, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL SUPPLIERS TO BE ADDED TO THE CONTRACT AS DEEMED IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Department of Fire -Rescue has a need for the Procurement of Fire -Rescue Uniforms and Safety Shoes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The bid received for Invitation for Bid 498331 with Monica Manufacturing Corp, d/b/a All Uniform Wear, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Groups 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 17, and Global Trading, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Groups 1, 2, 6, 7, 14, and 18, for the provision of Fire -Rescue uniforms and safety shoes for the City's Department of Fire Rescue, on an as needed contractual basis, for an initial period of,three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, is accepted, allocating funds from the various sources of funds of the user department, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 3. Further authorizing{1) additional suppliers to be added to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the city. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City o/'bliand .Page X of 2 File 1d: 15-01649 (Version. 1) .Printed On, 1212912015 Re Number 16-01649 Footnotes: CORRECTNESS: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} This Resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten (10) calendar days from the date passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon date stated herein, whichever is later. City qfUlam!
