A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI
AND THE NATIONAL MARINE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION, INC. FOR THE
USE OF DOCKAGE SPACE AT THE MIAMARINAAT BAYSIDE FOR THE
PRESENTATION OF THE "STRICTLY SAIL MIAMI" VENUE OF THE MIAMI
INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW, COMMENCING FEBRUARY 6, 2016 THROUGH
FEBRUARY 17, 2016 WITH TERMS AND CONDITIONS MORE PARTICULARLY
SET OUT IN SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the National Marine Manufacturers Association, Inc. ("NMMA") requested the use of
dockage space at Piers 1, 2, 3, and 4, excluding four (4) slips currently occupied at Miamarina at
Bayside for the presentation of the "Strictly Sail" venue of the Miami International Boat Show
commencing February 6, 2016 through February 17, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") shall provide the use of the designated space at the dockage
rate of $1.69 per linear foot per day for a total of $134,517.24 (based on 6,633 linear feet times twelve
(12) days) plus the payment of dockage fees for two weeks (approximately $14,000.00) for relocated
Miamarina customers and for any additional services, accommodations, materials, or equipment
provided by the City, as well as all applicable taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the execution of an agreement, in I
substantially the attached form, between the City and NMMA for the use of dockage space at
Miamarina;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, between the City and NMMA for the use of dockage space at Miamarina at Bayside for
the presentation of the Strictly Sail venue of the Miami International Boat Show commencing February
6, 2016 through February 17, 2016, with terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said
Agreement.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2)

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all regulations that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. if the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
