Attached please find the Public Hearing Notice for a waiver of the requirement for competitive sealed
bidding procedures for purchase of 250 Variable Air Volume boxes for the Metasys Building
Management System ("Metasys") at the MRC, from Johnson Control, Inc., the sole manufacturer of
the Metasys, for the Department of General Services Administration. This item is scheduled for the
Commission Meeting of January 28, 2016.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
January 28, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving the requirements of obtaining
sealed bids for the sole source purchase of two -hundred and fifty (250) Variable Air
Volume ("VAV") boxes , at an amount not to exceed $236,000.00, from Johnson Controls
Inc,, located at 15901 SW 29th Street, Miramar, FL 33027, for the Department of General
Services Administration.
Inquiries from other potential sources of such a package who feel that they might be able
to satisfy the City's requirements for this item may contact Pearl Bethel, Procurement
Contracting Manager, at the City of Miami Procurement Department at (305) 416-1949.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such proposed
acquisition. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with
respect to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any
appeal may be based (F.S.286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
