Chief of Police
I hope this correspondence finds you in good spirits. I am very grateful for the hospitality and
professional courtesy your personnel showed Deputy Chief of Police Ricardo Roque during his visit
to the City of Miami Police Department Motor Pool. As per our previous conversation, in reference
to the overwhelming need for police vehicles in the City of Sweetwater Police Department and our
current state of financial emergency, our fleet of police vehicles have become the topic of major
concern. Some of our vehicles are over 15 years old and are not in any condition to provide
professional police services. Those vehicles in question need to be replaced 'immediately.
Deputy Chief Roque met with Officer R. Fuentes and he identified the following dead lined vehicles.
I am interested in the following police vehicles:
#27140
#28106 (For parts)
#27144
#25190 (Need a cage donated)
428234
#28195 (For back seat and cage)
#25135
427226 (Unmarked)
#23305
#25321 (Unmarked)
#25188
#27267 (unmarked)
#25155
I would very much appreciate if the City of Miami would consider donating the above mentioned
vehicles to the City of Sweetwater Police Department. Those vehicle may not solve out financial
troubles but will assist in maintaining the level of professional public service the residents of the
City of Sweetwater deserve. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
