A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO SECTION
18-82(A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED,
CLASSIFYING FOUR (4) USED DESKTOP COMPUTERS FROM THE OFFICE OF
THE HONORABLE TOMAS REGALADO, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK AND DONATING ONE (1)
DESKTOP COMPUTER TO THE MARTIN FINE VILLAS AND THREE (3) DESKTOP
COMPUTERS TO THE DE HOSTO'S SENIOR CENTER UPON THE EXECUTION
OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Honorable Tomas Regalado, Mayor of the City of Miami, Florida, desires to
donate four (4) used desktop computers from his office; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Procurement Officer has declared the computers to be surplus stock; and
WHEREAS, Section 18-82(a), of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), entitled "Disposal of Surplus City -Owned Personal Property", provides that obsolete supplies
or equipment declared as Category "A" stock shall be available for disposition as the City of Miami's
("City's") contribution or the City's commitment in support of a particular public purpose, which may
include those community civic or social service programs as may be authorized by the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Martin Fine Villas and the De Hosto's Senior Center have agreed to accept the
donation of these computers as the sole property owners and to use them in their capacities as
community organizations providing service programs to their respective communities; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorizes the donation of the Category "A" surplus stock
computers to the Martin Fine Villas and the De Hosto's Senior Center in support of their particular
public purpose in providing quality programs for seniors and as a gesture that the people of the City
appreciate all the work and services performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the City Code, four (4) used desktop computers from
the Office of the Honorable Tomas Regalado, Mayor of the City of Miami, Florida, are classified as
Category "A" surplus stock.
Section 3. One (1) desktop computer shall be donated to Martin Fine Villas and three (3) desktop
computers shall be donated to De Hosto's Senior Center upon the execution of the appropriate

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {1 }
Footnotes:
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
