Background Information:
The City of Miami Department of Community and Economic Development ("Department") administers
federally funded projects that must be in accordance with federal regulations, including the Davis -
Bacon Act, Sectionl, Title 40 of the United State Code § 3141 et seq., as amended ("Davis -Bacon
Act").
Some of the projects funded by the Department are also funded by government agencies using their
respective federal funds.
The Davis -Bacon Act requirements recommend intergovernmental cooperation. Miami -Dade County
has proposed to take the lead in intergovernmental cooperation of federally funded projects.
The Department recommends entering into an agreement with Miami -Dade County that ensures
compliance with the Davis -Bacon Act requirements, as they may be amended from time to time.
