Hannon References: Agenda for April 9, 2015 City Clerk Enclosures: List of Members The Mayor's International Council was created to (1) plan and implement the City's International Trade promotion policies for the purposes of stimulating commercial and residential development and expanding the City's tax base through the promotion of foreign trade and local investment in accordance with the bylaws adopted by the Council; (2) serve in an advisory capacity for the City of Miami Sister Cities Program to plan, implement, and oversee the City's international, professional, and technical educational and cultural exchanges, promotion and policies to create and stimulate friendly and meaningful relationships; and (3) coordinate protocol requirements for national and international events and dignitaries pursuant to the standard and practices adopted by the Council. Two (2) appointments are required at this time. • Commissioner Marc David Sarnoff has one (1) nomination for a seat currently: 1. Vacant. (Silvia Wong resigned effective March 5, 2015) Commissioner Frank Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Eduardo Padron, incumbent, whose term expired on February 11, 2014, has served as a member since April 22, 2004, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (515) vote of the Commission.* For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership list of the council. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the April 9, 2015, Commission agenda.
