Subject: Resolution authorizingthe City Manager to enter into a cooperative agreement for
Implementation of Project SEARCH Miami.
Purpose of Item:
Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Cooperative Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, to continue to implement the Project for Students Exploring Alternative Resources at
Children's Hospital ("Project SEARCH Miami"). This program is a school to work transition
program to be hosted at the City of Miami on an annual basis for twelve youth with disabilities ages
18-22 whose goal is to be competitive for employment and to assist participants to achieve self -
sustainability.
Background Information:
The Department of Parks and Recreation recommends that the City of Miami execute a Cooperative
Agreement with the School Board of Miami Dade County, and the City of Miami to continue the
coordination and implementation of Project SEARCH Miami, for the period commencing July 1,
2015 — June 30, 2018.
