Dear Chairman Hardemon,
As Miami -Dade County Commissioner of District 5, the area where the aforementioned Project
is located in, I write to you in support of this Project. The Lower River has become a destination
for fine dining in the City of Miami and the proposed restaurant will further encourage the
flourishing renaissance occurring along the Miami River.
After careful review of the plans, I am certain that the proposed Project will cnhance the
community. I fully support the Project as proposed because it represents a great addition to our
neighborhood. In addition, the inclusion of a public Riverwalk will greatly enhance public access
and attract the public to the Miami River. Currently, there is no public access to the water for the
surrounding neighborhood, an issue that will be remedied by the proposed Project. Further, the
boat rentaUsales will serve to further provide additional access to the Miami River and maintain
a working Waterfront at the site. I encourage your support and approval of this Project at the
Property.

Dear Mr. Garcia,
Back in January I sent you an email concerning a proposed restaurant by KAR Properties on the Miami River. I am
attaching a copy of that email for your convenience.
I see from the newspaper that this subject matter is coming up before the City of Miami Commission on September
28th. As I have stated before, I am a property owner on the Miami River and I am still in favor of a restaurant in this
location.
I do not know Mr. Karnely, the proposed developer or Mr. Offutt, the owner of Biscayne Towing and Salvage who is
proposing the restaurant. The situation appears a little acrimonious as Mr. Offutt is bragging about his "loud and smelly
shipyard." DERM should re-evaluate his Marine Operating Permit.
I think all the citizens of Miami should have the opportunity to enjoy the river. Not just property owners and smelly
boatyards. The City of Miami should showcase their river as other towns and communities have. It is a valuable asset
that needs to come to the forefront.
Please pass my comments on to the City of Miami Commission.

The River Front Master Association would like to offer the full support of the 1600 property owners and nearly
5000 residents who reside within this community in favor of the proposed River Arts Project to be located at 125-
129-131 N.W. South River Dr. Miami, FL. 33125. The jobs created, increased tax revenues and further
beautification of the Miami River will not only enhance the lifestyles of those immediately surrounding the River
Arts Project, but rather all those located within the Lower and Middle Corridors of the Miami River.
The young and vibrant demographic of the residents living at The River Front Master Association are an excellent

To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you as the President of the Mint Condominium Association which is comprised of over 500
Condominium owners directly on the Miami River to express our full support for the proposed River Arts Project to
be located at 125-129-131 N.W. South River Dr. Miami, FL. 33125. This project represent the new Miami River that
will create jobs, increase tax revenues and begin to address the dilapidated structures that have lined the banks of the
river for decades.
In order to transform the Miami River into a mix of
industrial, commercial and residential venues, which
would be unlike anything ever seen in South
Florida, it's going to require millions of private
investment dollars. Individuals like the owners of
the River Arts property have been and are willing to
continue to make said investments. The outcome
can only lead to uplifting the surrounding areas
benefiting all of us that choose to call Miami our
home.
No one wants to eliminate the industrial operations
along the river as falsely asserted by some! In fact,
the industrial sites are a vital part of the allure and
attractiveness of the river. Everyone sitting at a
riverfront restaurant, stops what they are doing as
the eyes of children light up every time they see a
huge cargo ship getting towed up or down the river.
I often hear kids ask their parents, "how can I
become a captain of a ship" or "how does that little
towboat pull such a mighty ship". It is these types of
interactions that will ensure the longevity of the
industrial operations along the river by exposing
their operations to the next generation.
It is for this reason why I fully support the proposed Yachting/Restaurant Lounge to be located at the River Arts
complex.

neighborhood all the while preserving the essence of what the Miami River has always been.
Inclusively we fail to see the catastrophic conflict between two neighbors and suggest that both parties find
away to be more cordial with one another.
The south side of the Miami River and adjoining Little Havana neighborhood has tremendous potential. Sadly,
there continues to be a large number of absentee owners who allow their properties to fall into disrepair,
vacant lots that attract copious amounts of illegal dumping and widespread blatant drug affiliated activity.

There is no practical reason to prevent a present landlord that has invested considerable amounts of time and
money Into the neighborhood. The objective Is clearly to make things better, any setback to the effort
potentially could derail much needed forward progress.

As a resident of MIAMI let your elected officials know that we support the responsible development of
the Miami River with restaurants, parks, social venues, and recreation boating activities. For to long
we have accepted the dilapidated buildings along the river as the norm. Now we have the opportunity
to make the river great again by voting yes to the River Arts Project. This exciting new project will

Dear City Commissioners,
The noise that these establishments create must be strictly regulated. Loud music echoes throughout the
concrete canyon. There is nothing more frustrating than having a "special event" blast music until 2:00
am ... and when you call the police, their response is "there is an officer on the scene for the special event and
the music will continue until after 2:00 am".
A perfect example of how the loud music can be a nuisance is the "yacht club" or Dashi as it may be called
now at the South side of the river (almost under 195). This place has kept me awake on several occasions and I
am happy that there seems to be very little activity there these days.
Not everybody in Miami parties until 2:00 am and we don't all like a private establishment disturbing the
public peace that the residents and tax payers should be able to enjoy.
By the way, I watch the development of the proposed site at 125 SW River Drive and when we have a King
Tide, the lot floods with water from the Miami River so please make them build their structure high enough so
that our tax dollars do not have to bail them out when we get our next storm.-
