A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING
THE FIRST OPTION TO RENEW TO SFM SERVICES, INC. FOR A ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $318,668.00 FOR THE
PROJECT ENTITLED "DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. BOULEVARD AND TRAFFIC CIRCLES
LANDSCAPING CONTRACTS, M-0109"; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR THE FIRST YEAR OPTION
TO RENEW FROM ACCOUNT NO. 20-650003 (SPECIAL REVENUE).
WHEREAS, on January 8, 2015, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 15-0010 accepting the bid received from SFM
Services, Inc. for the project entitled "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Traffic Circles Maintenance Contract,
M-0109" ("Maintenance Contract") for a one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution authorized four (4) additional one (1) year options to renew in an annual amount not to exceed
$318,668.00, subject to City Commission approval and availability of funding; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2015, the City Commission awarded the Greater Miami Service Corps., a Florida Not for Profit
corporation, maintenance responsibility for, inter alia, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, along with other services
already in the scope of services of the Maintenance Contract; and
WHEREAS, to ensure a continuity of service for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, should unforeseen conditions
require the same, the Public Works Department wishes to preserve the Maintenance Contract's existing scope of services for
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, which may be altered or amended pursuant to the existing provisions in the
Maintenance Contract; and
WHEREAS, funds are available, in an amount not to exceed $318,668.00, from Account No. 20-650003 (Special Revenue) for
Fiscal Year 2016-2017 for the first option to renew;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated
as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The first option to renew to SFM Services, Inc. for a one (1) year period for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, in an amount
not to exceed $318,668.00, for the project entitled "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Traffic Circles Maintenance
Contract, M-0109", is hereby approved.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. { I }

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ACCEPTING
THE BID RECEIVED OCTOBER 14, 2014, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID NO. 13-14-026,
FROM SFM SERVICES, INC., THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, FOR
THE PROJECT ENTITLED "DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD AND TRAFFIC
CIRCLES MAINTENANCE CONTRACT, M-0109," FOR AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $318,668.00; FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF ONE (1) YEAR, WITH THE OPTION TO
RENEW FOR FOUR (4) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS, SUBJECT TO CITY
COMMISSION APPROVAL; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS FROM SPECIAL REVENUE
ACCOUNT NO. 20-65003; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT,
IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR SAID PURPOSE; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID OPTIONS TO RENEW, SUBJECT TO THE
AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND THE CONTRACTOR'S PERFORMANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received October 14, 2014, pursuant to Invitation for Bid ("IFB") No. 13-14-026, from SFM Services,
Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, for the project entitled "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Traffic
Circles Maintenance Contract, M-0109," for an annual amount not to exceed $318,866.00, and for an initial term of one (1)
year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods subject to City Commission approval, is accepted,
with funds allocated from the Special Revenue Account No. 20-65003.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized (1) to execute a Contract consisting of the IFB contract documents, in
substantially the attached form, for said purpose.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized (1) to execute said options to renew, subject to the availability of
funds and the contractor's performance.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. (2)
