HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-88-0028J-88-07 12/22/87 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TWO EMPLOYEE MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD. WHEREAS, the City Charter provides for the election of two (2) members to the Civil Service Board by City of Miami employees with civil service status; and WHEREAS, elections have been duly held for the purpose of electing two (2) Board members with the herein results; and WHEREAS, the herein resolution confirms the election of two such members to the Civil Service Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed as members to serve on the Civil Service Board commencing January 14, 1988 for a term to expire on January 11, 1990: NAME Steven Smigelski (Group #1) Homer Whittaker (Group #2) ADDRESS 10810 N.W. 18th Place Pembroke Pines, Florida 33028 475 N.W. 210 Street Apt. 108 Miami, FL 33169 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of , 1988. City Clark _ As previously reported, the two successful candidates in the City Of Miami Civil Service Board Smployee Slection elected to the Civil Service Board are Steven Smigalski (Seat •l) and Homer Whittaker (Seat #2). The above candidates for Seat f2 went to a runoff election on December 17 and 18, 1987 where Homer Whittaker was the successful candidate elected. Please have a member of your staff disseminate the herein Information as widely as possible so that all employees may be advised of the election results.
