Resolution Authorizing
the Purchase of Property
for Expansion of Fire
Station No. 10
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution authorizing offers to be made to two separate
owners of property for expansion of Fire Station No. 10. Offers
for the two properties located at 750 and 760 NW 41 Avenue are
$76000 each coming to a total of $152,000 for both properties.
BACKGROUND:
The General Services Administration Department has received
appraisals for two separately owned parcels adjacent to Fire
Station No. 10, located at 4101 Nib 7 Street, in response to a
need of the Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services.
The Department of Fire, Rescue, and Inspection Services has been
seeking properties to purchase to either build a new fire station
or expand Fire Station No. 10, to better serve the citizens
living in the westerly portion of Miami.
The attached resolution requests authorization that offers be
made to two separate property owners for the two properties found
to be most advantageous for the expansion of the existing Fire
Station No. 10 site. Funds for this acquisition are provided by
Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10347, Project No. 313220-
269101-810, "Expansion and Modification of Fire Station No. 10".
