Per the emergency procurement procedures as defined in Section 18-90 of the City Code, authorization to waive the competitive bid process, albeit it is a retroactive authorization, is also requested for the aforementioned emergency purchase if greater than $25,000. This purchase is necessary for the following reason: Emergency replacement of chiller unit and two water pumps at former Melreese site to mitigate/reduce damage caused by the development of mold throughout the facility. The current chiller and two water pumps are no longer operational. We are currently housing our inspectors on -site for the Miami Freedom Park project and the new City Administration building. Pricing based on site visit by Airstron. Unit is sized by the existing equipment. We will furnish and install the following on this project: • Demo and proper removal of existing chiller. • Install only of (1) new air-cooled chiller to match existing size and type. (customer Supply) • Set new chiller on existing concrete housekeeping pad. • Provide and install (2) new chilled water pumps to match existing size and type. • Reconnect to existing chilled water piping, as necessary. • Electrical connections from existing disconnects to new unit. • Insulate replaced piping with new foam glass insulation and aluminum jacket. • Schedule factories start up, complete startup of chiller with Factory • Replacement to be completed during regular business hours. • Crane and material hoisting. • Permit to be furnished by Airstron and funded by owner. • Parking on site provided by owner. • All work to meet South Florida code requirements. • All work to be done in a timely and professional manner. • One-year complete warranty on Airstron furnished materials and equipment. • All other work to be perfointed during no al business hours. The following items are not included on this project: • Smoke detectors provided and wired by other. • Tie in or testing to fire alaipanel. • Service disconnects. • Screening or safety rails by other. • Sound blankets. • Screening. • Variable frequency drive or motor starters. Terms and Conditions: Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs, will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. This contract contains the entire agreement between the parties and shall become effective on the date shown below, provided it has been accepted by you and approved by us. Any modifications in this Agreement must be done in writing and executed by all parties. It is hereby agreed and stipulates by the parities that venue or jurisdiction to any litigation arising out of the terms of this contract shall be in Dade County, Florida. Note: Our industry suppliers have notified us that prices are on an unprecedented rise. Some suppliers have informed us that prices are subject to change on a biweekly basis until further notice. Understand, will make every effort to anticipate and confirm pricing at the time of our bid date. All proposals accepted after (15) days could be subject to a price adjustment based on current market trends. • We may withdraw this proposal if not accepted within fifteen days. • Contract payment terms are net 30 days.
