A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION AND
EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE FOR PUBLIC
PARK, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE USE ALL OF THE
PROPERTIES REQUIRED TO BE CONDEMNED UNDER THE ..
TERMS OF THE MARCH 14, 1972 BOND ISSUE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, conditions in the City of Miami have
indicated and shown the requirement for additional park,
recreation and open space land areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami has
det ermined that the property described in the program for the
March 14, 1972 bond issue should be acquired by the City of Miami
by and through its condemnation and eminent domain powers for
public recreation, park and open space use and said property is
needed and necessary for such use; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami,
Florida, determined that fee simple title to said property is to
be acquired for such use and purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That as soon as practicable and after the
validation of the March 14, 1972 bonds, the City Attorney is hereby
directed to institute condemnation and eminent domain proceedings
to acquire for public park, recreation and open space use all of the
properties required to be condemned under the terms of the March 14,
1972 bond issue program.
