A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERIC TO
EXECUTE AN EXTENSION OF LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND BALTIMORE
BASEBALL CLUB, INC. FOR THE USE OF THE
MIAMI BASEBALL STADIUM, FOR AN ADDITIONAL
PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 20, 1973 THROUGH
APRIL 6, 1973, A COPY OF SAID EXTENSION
OF LEASE AGREEMENT BEING ATTACHED HERETO
AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
WHEREAS, on February 5, 1971, THE CITY OF MIAMI entered
into a Lease Agreement with BALTIMORE BASEBALL CLUB, INC. for
the use of the Miami Baseball Stadium from February 20, 1971

through April 6, 1971, or at the end of the CLUB's Spring
Training Season, whichever date was later; and
WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement contained a provision that
the BALTIMORE BASEBALL CLUB, INC. shall have the option of
renewing this Lease Agreement from year to year up to and
including the training season of 1975, provided notice of the
renewal in writing was given to the City Manager of THE CITY OF
MIAMI thirty (30) days prior to July 1st of each year; and
WHEREAS, the BALTIMORE BASEBALL CLUB, INC. has requested
in writing that the Lease Agreement be renewed for the 1973
Spring Training Season; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the original
Lease Agreement dated February 5, 1971, be extended for an
additional period from February 20, 1973 through April 6, 1973,
or at the end of the Spring Training Season, whichever date is
later;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C."MISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute an Extension of Lease

Agreement with BALTIMORE BASEBALL CLUB, INC. to use the
Miami Baseball Stadium, subject to the same terms and con-
ditions as the original Lease Agreement dated April 5, 1971,
for an additional period from February 20, 1973 through
April 6, 1973, or at the end of the Spring Training Season,
whichever date is later, in accordance with said Extension of
Lease Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
