A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED MAY 18,
1972 OF BARTLETT CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE
ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $74,000 FOR THE ORANGE
BOWL - PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM - SPEAKER TOWER-
1972; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT THEREFOR; AND APPROPRIAT-
ING AN ADDITIONAL $20,000 FROM THE ORANGE
BOWL4FUND BALANCE AND ACCOUNTS.
WHEREAS, bids were received May 18, 1972 for the ORANGE
BOWL - PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM - SPEAKER TOWER - 1972; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Bartlett Construction, Inc. in the amount of $74,000 is the
lowest bid (acceptable) and recommends that contract be awarded
to said company; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to complete the
ORANGE BOWL SOUND SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS and such funds are avail-
able for appropriation from the Orange Bowl Fund Balance and
Accounts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Bartlett Construction, Inc.
received May 18, 1972 for ORANGE BOWL - PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM -
SPEAKER TOWER - 1972, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump
sum bid, at a total estimated cost of $74,000 be, and the same is hereby
accepted.
