A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO ELEANOR AND JOHN CHEEK,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF $75.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLE-
MENT OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE
CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION OF A
RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM
ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, ELEANOR AND JOHN CHEEK filed a claim against
the City of Miami for damage incurred in the amount of $75.00
due to the fact that City garbage collectors broke decorator
tiles and shrubs at 4219 Anne Court, the Claimants' property,
on December 13, 1971; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the
office of the City Attorney and said office recommends that
this claim be settled for the sum of $75.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and
he is hereby authorized to pay to ELEANOR AND JOHN CHEEK,
without the admission of liability, the sum of $75.00 in full
and complete settlement of all claims and demands against the
City of Miami, upon the execution of a release releasing the
City of Miami from all claims and demands.
